Nerella SI suspended for committing excesses

Hyderabad: Director General of Police Anurag Sharma on Thursday placed sub-inspector Ravinder under suspension on the charge of committing atrocities on Dalits at Nerella village in Sircilla-Rajanna district.
The action on the sub-inspector followed the presentation of the report by Karimnagar Deputy Inspector General of Police C Ravi Varma to the DGP on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Minister for Municipal Administration K Taraka Rama Rao, in his tweet, said ‘as promised, the Inspector who was found to have used excessive force according to the DIG’s report has been suspended’.
