Case filed against former minister Shankar Rao, brother, The Cyberabad police here Saturday registered a criminal case against former Andhra Pradesh Minister P Shankar Rao and his brother in Green Fields Colony land-grab case.
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police here Saturday registered a criminal case against former Andhra Pradesh Minister P Shankar Rao and his brother in Green Fields Colony land-grab case.
Rao and his brother P Dayanand were charged with criminal conspiracy, cheating and other relevant offences under the Indian Penal Code, said inspector N Chandra Babu.
A local court in Malkajgiri had last week directed the Neredmet police to lodge a case against Rao and his brother following a private complaint which alleges that they tried to grab land in the Green Fields Colony at Kanajiguda by presenting forged documents. S Chandrashekar, the complainant, alleges that Rao, P Dayanand and others tried to grab 75 acres of land in the Colony through a fraud.
