Hyderabad: A 20-year-old youth was on Thursday arrested for allegedly raping an elderly woman at Vikarabad in Ranga Reddy district.
According to police, the 70-year-old victim stays in Vikarabad in Ranga Reddy district. The accused, a cook by profession, Mujahid, went to her house and allegedly raped her. The victim’s son, later, lodged a complaint in this regard and the woman was admitted to a nearby hospital. The police took the accused into custody and produced him before a court. He has been sent to judicial remand. A case of rape under section 376 of IPC has been registered against him.
