Cops nab 5 drug peddlers, seize 145 LSD blots
The South Zone task force police on Wednesday arrested a gang of five persons, including two from Mumbai, for possessing huge quantity of LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide) and Ephedrine, narcotic drug and psychotropic substances.
Hyderabad: The South Zone task force police on Wednesday arrested a gang of five persons, including two from Mumbai, for possessing huge quantity of LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide) and Ephedrine, narcotic drug and psychotropic substances.
The police seized 145 blots of LSDs and six grams of Ephedrine from them. On credible information, the police picked up Mayank Kumar Sahu, 22 and Piyush Kumar Sahu, 20, of Nagpur, from Liberty Junction when they were seen with contraband.
During questioning, they told police that they have brought the drugs to handover to one Mustafa Mohiuddin, 27, an old online chat friend for sale. The duo told police that they purchased the drugs from a website ‘Nucles Market’, a hidden online store which is used to trade drugs, counterfeit currency and ensures the privacy of the buyer.
To access this website, the user has to install ‘Tales Operating System’ in the computer, and has to open the website using ‘Tor Browser’. Payment is also done in a crypto currency format, an untraceable format by the governments. They said they used to place order for 50 to 100 blots of drug each time and send them to Mustafa who was working as a marketing agent for them.
Based on their confession, Mustafa was picked from Koti and his friends Junaid Raza Siddiqui, 25 and Md Manzil Mukram Pasha, 26 were picked from Rajendranagar, for selling the drugs in Hyderabad. A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act has been registered against the five accused. They were later handed over to Anti-Narcotic Cell teams.
