In a brutal incident, a woman named Akkamma (55) from Gopalpet mandal in Wanaparthy division was killed by her own son in the broad daylight on Saturday.
Mahbubnagar: In a brutal incident, a woman named Akkamma (55) from Gopalpet mandal in Wanaparthy division was killed by her own son in the broad daylight on Saturday.
According to the villagers, Akkamma and her son Shekar (35) were entrusted with the job of cattle grazing in the entire village (Jingidi).
On Saturday, Shekar asked his mother to go alone for grazing the cattle. But citing summer heat as the reason, Akkamma declined to go and slept in the house.
Having learned this, Shekar, in a fit of rage, dragged his sleeping mother outside the house and strangled her to death with his feet. Shekar was arrested by the police. The police booked a case against Shekar and are investigating the matter.
