2 farmers killed in accident
Two farmers died on the spot when a tractor they were travelling in fallen into an open well near Gandiramavaram village of Narmetta Mandal in the district on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Azmeera Lokya (59) and Nunvath Bodya (54) of Gandiramavaram village. The incident took place when the deceased were carrying haystack from their field.

The deceased were identified as Azmeera Lokya (59) and Nunvath Bodya (54) of Gandiramavaram village. The incident took place when the deceased were carrying haystack from their field.
The driver of the tractor P Raju stopped the vehicle by the side of the road keeping the engine in neutral gear to fetch water from pump set at the well. The vehicle moved off the road as there was a gradient down the road towards the well and it fell into the well killing the farmers. The driver noticed the vehicle moving and tried to stop the vehicle but failed to do so.
But he escaped unhurt in the incident. The bodies and vehicle retrieved from the well and the bodies were shifted to Jangaon area hospital for postmortem. Jangaon CI Tirupathi visited the spot and registered a case in connection with the incident.
