​Hyderabad: The Task Force sleuths on Monday apprehended two persons from Rajasthan for robbing a businessman from Begum Bazaar. Rs 18.13 lakh was recovered from the accused.

Task Force DCP B Limba Reddy said the robbery had taken place on September 5 at Begum Bazaar, when Varun Sharma and Narayana, both collection agents working for a plywood businessman Dhanraj, were counting the money.

Dinesh, neighbour of Varun observed the money transactions and hatched a plan to steal the money. Accordingly, he informed his friends Rajesh, Suresh, Mukesh and Dayal Rao and asked them to come to Hyderabad from Nokah in Rajasthan. After conducting recce, on September 5, they entered Varun’s flat.

They gagged his mouth, tied his limbs and fled with Rs 32 lakh cash, a gold pendant, one silver ring and two mobile phones. Later, they went to Mumbai and shared Rs 6.3 lakh each as their share, the DCP said.
