He worked as Sarpanch of the village from 2001 to 2006. He is survived by three sons and three daughters.

He performed marriages of sons and daughters borrowing money from others. In 2014, he availed a loan of Rs 8 lakh from bank and started poultry farm. He sustained severe losses on his poultry farm and in agriculture. The debts reached Rs 40 lakh, including Rs 26 lakh that he had borrowed from money lenders. Disheartened by the mounting debt burden, he committed suicide.
