VIT bags place among best varsities
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has been ranked as the best private engineering institution in the country by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development [MHRD].
Hyderabad: Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has been ranked as the best private engineering institution in the country by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development [MHRD].
This is the first time government of India has ranked institutions in the country. Overall, including all the government institutions, VIT has been ranked as 13th best engineering institution in the country with a score of 74.40. Eleven IITs and one NIT rank above VIT.
VIT’s management programme has also performed very well by scoring all India rank 17. The list of top 20 of the management programme is dominated by the IIMs. The ranking was done on the basis of the parameters including research, professional practice and collaborative performance, graduation outcomes, outreach and perception.
