Orident organizes “Dental Screening” in government schools
Orident, India’s first complete oral care solution provider at an affordable cost, in association with “The Society for People Health”
Around 2000 students and teachers benefited in the camp
Bangalore: Orident, India’s first complete oral care solution provider at an affordable cost, in association with “The Society for People Health” (TSPH), an NGO, conducted a “Dental Screening Camp” at 13 different places in the city today. Around 2000 students along with teachers from government schools around Kaval Byrasandra, Gandhinagar, DJ Halli, NS Line, Venkateshpuram, Lingarajapuram and Murphy Town took part in the camp. The students were made aware about dental health and hygiene. A team of around 20 Dentists and paramedical staff from Orident conducted this camp.
“In children, 25% of the first visit to the emergency ward in hospitals is due to a dental related problem. Of the 4 million children born each year, more than half will have cavities by the time they reach second grade. Over 40-50% of children will be affected by tooth decay before they reach 5 years of age. Seven out of 10 Indian kids suffer from gum disease. 70% children under the age of 15 have dental caries. 55% of school children in India have decayed teeth,” said Dr. Shine Philip Mathews, MDS - Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Orident.
“Oral care is one of the highly ignored segments in the Indian healthcare scenario, despite the increase in number of people suffering from poor oral health in the country. Studies say, almost 90% of Indians suffer from one or the other dental problem in which periodontics and gum problems are the most common.” added Dr. Shine.
With an effort to improve social well-being of the needy, Orident plan to regularly undertake many such activities and health camps in different parts of the city.
The core motto of Orident is – ‘No conditions on health’, under which they provide end to end dental solutions and preventive dental-care service, at an affordable cost. Patients with pre-existing conditions are also eligible for Orident services. A unique feature of Orident also facilitates the patient to transfer unused subscription to any member in the family at no additional cost. The treatment also comes with the benefit of no limitations on the number of consultations, diagnosis or treatments. From oral pathology to orthodontics, i.e. from basic clean-up to implantation, Orident facilitates the patient to avail everything at one cost.
