Arza Ramesh Babu, Director of City Ham Radio Academy has been appointed as coordinator by the Wireless Monitoring Organization, New Delhi for the International Fleet Review-2016 to be held at Visakhapatnam from February 4 to 8.

In a press release here on Sunday, Ramesh Babu said that he along with a team of 22 individual Ham Radio operators from Hyderabad, Nellore, Khammam, Nalgonda, Vijayawada, Guntur, Machilipatnam and Pitapuram will extend their ham radio services for the smooth conduct of the event.

High and very high frequency global communication equipment's, software defined radio and VHF Base sets owned by the individuals are being used for the communication purpose, he said.

The Ham Radio operator also said that Ham Radio stations would be established at Visakhapatnam Airport, Collector office, Police Control Room, Viswa Priya Function Hall, IFR Village, RK Beach, Chole Guest House, Government Circuit House and other major junctions across the city to communicate information to the distant places in and around Visakhapatnam, he said.

A temporary repeater will be established at the place which is interlinked with walky talkies and also with ecolink inter phase through Internet connection for better communication with the people across the globe, he added.
