Golden double for Manisha
St Martin’s P Manisha won two gold medals on the first day of Indian open sports fest at VNR Vignanan Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology campus here on Friday.
Hyderabad: St Martin’s P Manisha won two gold medals on the first day of Indian open sports fest at VNR Vignanan Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology campus here on Friday. Manisha won the gold in the 800metres race and later was part of the gold-winninng relay team that also comprised of D Divya, P Sushmitha and K Sandhya.
Host team long jumpers G Snehaja and K Sampath won the women and men gold respectively. Earlier, Dr MV Reddy, Director, Technical Education, Telangana State inaugurated the fest. He urged the students to be as positively inclined towards sports as they would to academics in order be mentally and physically. JNTUH Registrar Dr N Yadaiah, General Secretary of the college B Sarat Gopal and Principal Dr C Kiran Mai also spoke on the occasion.
