It was a get-together that will be cherished not only by several budding cricketers but even the management of Sreenidhi International School, Hyderabad thanks to the open admiration and lavish praises showered by players from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), who are in town for their Friday engagement with Gujarat Lions.
The players praised the school for putting in place wonderful infrastructural facilities and team mentor, VVS Laxman for choosing the ground for establishing VVS Sports Academy. Laxman said that he was indebted to KT Mahi, Chairman of Sreenidhi International School for agreeing to his proposal to set up a state-of-the-art academy. He said he wished to produce cricketers who will also exemplify humanness.
Yuvraj Singh, who is likely to play his first IPL match of the season on Friday, praised Mahi and Laxman for coming together in providing a qualitative platform for the young hopefuls to develop their skills. Ashish Nehra and Naman Ojha also gave a peep into the practicalities of their respective specializations much to the delight of the youngsters.
In a welcome gesture, all the players spent some time watering the plants besides planting saplings in the sprawling school campus. Mahi reassured the institution’s complete support to the promotion of sports.
