Katkatha Puppets Arts Trust, New Delhi, performed a puppet show titled ‘Dinosaur’ at the ongoing Hyderabad Children Theatre Festival on Monday at Shilpakala Vedika.
The 45-minute play was performed without a spoken word and only music and it was written by Shravan Heggodu and directed by Anurupa Roy and Shravan.
The play is about a T-Rex egg that gets separated from the nest.
The baby dinosaur that hatches does not know that he is a T-Rex.
The alone lost T-Rex then desperately starts looking for his mother; however, he lands up in the midst of a hungry pack of raptors.
The oldest raptor of the pack becomes friends with the young T-Rex; however, other raptors want to eat the little T-Rex.
The old raptor saves him from the predators time and again.
The gripping tale evokes the moral that true friends are those, who help us in peril.
Children had a gala time and the auditorium was filled with cheer.
Avinash Kumar, Raghuvendra, Asha and Pawan Waghmare did a marvellous job as dinosaurs in the play.
After the show, a quiz was conducted by the organisers and children who gave correct answers got a prize.
