Bahadurpura: A two-and-a-half year old male Gaur that had fallen into a well at Penchikalapeta, AtmakurMandal, Warangal district on February 23 is now recuperating and is eating well informed Nehru Zoological Park officials.

On February 24, the Gaur was operated for lower jaw injury by senior veterinary surgeon Dr G Shambulingam, Asst. Director (AH), Area Veterinary Hospital, Uppal. Dr M A Hakeem, Asst Director (Vet), Dr Asadullah, asst surgeon, T Venkateswarlu, jr veterinary officer. Shivani Dogra, curator, Nehru Zoological Park said, “The animal was kept under observation for all these days and is now eating fruits and is active.”
