Govt lands to be protected: Somesh Kumar
The government lands under Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits need to be protected and the onus lies with the town planning wing of the civic body, informed Somesh Kumar, Special Officer and Commissioner, GHMC, in a meeting held with officers of the town planning wing on Thursday.

The GHMC would be constructing boundary walls on government lands to protect them from encroachment. The Commissioner said that Rs 20,000 cr worth development works would be undertaken and he reiterated that the financial position of GHMC needs to be strengthened. Chief City Planner Devender Reddy and other officers of the town planning wing took part in the meeting. The Commissioner later released the Planning Technical Staff Association 2015 diary.
