Hariharan excited to perform in Hyderabad

Padma Bhushan awardee Ustad Zakir Hussain and Padmashri awardee Hariharan are set to come together once again after a long gap of 20 years. The duo, which mesmerised the ghazal world with their first album ‘Hazir’, has produced a sequel ‘Hazir 2’ and will perform at Cyber City Convention Centre in the city on Saturday.

Hariharan addressed the media in the city on Tuesday via a video conference from Ahmedabad and expressed his excitement to be performing in the city. Venkatraman, co-ordinator of the concert, said, “The duo is performing together in Hyderabad for the very first time. Hariharan and Zakir Hussain will perform songs from both the albums. The event is expected to attract about 1,000 select guests.”
