They alleged that the officials had allotted the houses sanctioned for the poor to others, who greased their palms. They almost went to the extent of assaulting the tahsildar.
In connection with the Minister’s visit to Manuguru, local Congress leader staged a dharna at the newly built 100-bed hospital gate, demanding immediate appointment of doctors at the hospital and extending medical and health services to patients with all amenities. They submitted a memorandum to the Minister highlighting their demands.
