Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy said teachers play key role in nation building. Students will know about the world through their teachers. Stating that building a healthy society depends upon the teaching community, he urged the teachers to take active part in carving Golden Telangana.

On Tuesday, he participated as a chief guest at the award distribution function to teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, at China Venkat Reddy function hall here.
After garlanding the portrait of former president late Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, addressing the gathering he said that the parents are slowly shifting their children to government schools from private schools in the last three years with the introduction of Gurukuls in the State. He predicted in future private schools may shut down. He urged teachers to impart quality education to enhance the knowledge of the students of government schools to compete with corporate school students in academics and competitive exams.
District Collector Gaurav Uppal stated that Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan became the second President of India after serving as a teacher and his services to the nation are memorable. He advised the teachers to follow his footsteps to develop students as good citizens of the society.
As a part of the programme, Minister Jagadish Eeddy and other guests felicitated best teachers. ZP Chairman Balu Naik, MPs Gutha Sukender Reddy, Bhoora Narsaiah Goud, TSFDC Chairman Banda Narender Reddy, MLC Pula Ravinder, MLA Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy, District Library Chairman Rekhala Badradri, Joint-Collector Naryana Reddy, RDO Venkatachary and others were participated.
