Suryapet: Central team member of District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Professor Dr Shivaram felt that both Central and State programmes were being perfectly implemented in the newly-formed Suryapet district.
On invitation of District Collector Surendra Mohan, on Tuesday, Dr Shivaram along with team members Dr V Hemanth Kumar, Dr P Rajkumar, Dr P Satyanarayana Reddy toured Gandhi Nagar Gram Panchayat and inspected various developmental works being carried out in the village.
The DRDA officials first examined the records and inspected the works. Later along with Sarpanch and Mandal Parishad Development Officer, the team members took tour of the village and interacted with villagers. They further inspected internal roads, Public Distribution System, construction of toilets and infrastructure in schools.
Meanwhile, the Sarpanch and MPDO explained the status of implementation of State government programmes Haritha Haram, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, Aasara pensions and digital Telangana, followed by Centre’s programmes Swachh Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gramin Vikas Yojana etc.
The officials appreciated villagers for the of Paytm for day-to-day transactions and getting Rupay Cards and bank accounts under Jan Dhan Yojana scheme. MPDO Nagi Reddy, Sarpanch Renuka, Panchayat secretary Sanjeev and villagers took part in the programme.
