One dead, six injured in honeybee attacks
A 46-year-old man on Wednesday died after being stung by a swarm of honeybees. The victim, Nalla Anji Reddy is a resident of Bongoni Cheruvu hamlet of Veliminedu gram panchayat in Chiltal mandal in Nalgonda district. As Anji Reddy was on his way to home, a swarm of bees attacked him.
Nalgonda/Yadadri-Bhongir: A 46-year-old man on Wednesday died after being stung by a swarm of honeybees. The victim, Nalla Anji Reddy is a resident of Bongoni Cheruvu hamlet of Veliminedu gram panchayat in Chiltal mandal in Nalgonda district. As Anji Reddy was on his way to home, a swarm of bees attacked him.
He died on the spot as efforts of the villagers to save him from the bees did not work out. Another two villages suffered minor bee stings in the swarm attack. In another incident, six students of government school were injured in honeybee’s attack at Madharam village of Bibinagar mandal in Yadadri-Bhongir district.
According to villagers, one of students threw a stone on the honey bee nest, agitated bees targeted students and stung them. The injured students were shifted to local hospital for treatment.
