Politicos asked to take prior nod for meetings, rallies

​Nalgonda: Superintendent of Police A V Ranganath here Wednesday told the representatives of various political parties and organisations that they should take prior permission from the police to take out processions, organise protest demonstrations and holding meetings. This, he said, is to ensure that there is no inconvenience to public.

He held a meeting with student organisations, trade unions, caste associations, women associations and political party leaders at DPO meeting hall in Nalgonda.

Addressing the gathering, the Superintendent of Police said as per the Supreme Court guidelines, loudspeakers should not be used during protests. He told the representatives that everyone has the freedom to register his or her protest. But it should not disturb law and order, he said. He warned of action against violators. The police, he said, would take the video films of protests.
