Khammam: The Thrinamooll Congress party is smothering the democracy by encouraging the murder politics in the West Bengal, alleged the Secretary of Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) three town committee T Lingaiah here on Wednesday.
The CPI-M leaders took out a candle rally from Bose Centre to ZP Centre here to protest the politics of murder being practised in West Bengal.
Speaking on the occasion, Lingaiah alleged that the Thrinamool Congress party activists had not only killed the leaders of Left party leaders but also democracy.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Benarji was acting like a monarch and encouraging murder politics in the country. The CPI-M party during its 33 years of ruling had never encouraged such dirty politics.
The representatives of various people’s organisation, intellectuals, students and people of all sections condemned the attacks on the leaders of the Left parties.
CPI-M district secretary N Nageshwar Rao, leaders Y Srikanth, B Ramesh, Srinivas Rao, B Yakaiah, Y Gopi, S K Babu, M Sathyam, B Veerababu, Bhukya Srinivas, Venkanna, Upendrachary, Hanumanthachary, S K Masthan, Venkateshwarlu, Sathyanarayana, Ravula Srinu, Prem Chand, Nagesh, Madhu, Qasim and Nageshwar Rao were present.
