The police have arrested BJP MLA from Goshamahal Raja Singh Lodha on Tuesday He was arrested after he threatened to stage a dharna in front of the police commissionerate in Basheerbagh in protest against the foisting of cases against him for saving cows
The police have arrested BJP MLA from Goshamahal Raja Singh Lodha on Tuesday. He was arrested after he threatened to stage a dharna in front of the police commissionerate in Basheerbagh in protest against the foisting of cases against him for saving cows. From Monday evening, the police have been deployed in front of his house and as he tried to come out on Tuesday morning, he was arrested.
Speaking on the occasion, Raja Singh said the police were foisting cases against the Hindus who were trying to protect the cows. He demanded that the cases foisted on the Gau rakshaks be withdrawn immediately and wanted all the cows seized be shifted to gowshalas.
He also wanted cases to be booked against the butchers who were planning to butcher cows. He said hundreds of cows were being smuggled on the ORR. He said he would continue with the protest till the cows were protested.
