The Supreme Court on Monday rejected the Congress leader Marri Shashidhar Reddys plea who filed a petition against the notification issued by Election Commission of India which stated to include all the seven mandals under Polavaram Project limits in Andhra Pradesh
The Supreme Court on Monday rejected the Congress leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy's plea who filed a petition against the notification issued by Election Commission of India which stated to include all the seven mandals under Polavaram Project limits in Andhra Pradesh.
The ECI counsel told the court that they have released the notification based on the Gazette issued by the centre. Announcing that they move was taken with respect to the constitution regulations, the Supreme Court ruled out the petition. The court also said that including the seven mandals to Telangana needs to amend the constitution which is against the ordinance issued by the centre.
Reddy filed the plea in Supreme Court challenging the High Court verdict which dismissed the petition
