Man arrested for cricket betting in Hyderabad

A man was arrested by the central zone task force police on Wednesday for allegedly organising a cricket betting on the ongoing KFC Big Bash League T20 series. A laptop, an LED television set, two mobile phones and a cash of Rs 5,38,000 were seized from their possession.
The arrested identified as Vyas (34) has been organising the cricket betting since 2017, said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force, P Radha Kishan Rao. The police who acted on a tip-off took Vyas into custody while another Vishal Laxmichand (35) is absconding. The betting was busted at Shahinyathgunj.
