Nakkala Gandi water project gets govt nod

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday approved the long-pending Nakkala Gandi Project to provide drinking water to the people of Nalgonda district. The Chief Minister gave green signal to the project, which was neglected by the previous governments for quite some time.

TRS leaders, including MP B Narsaiah Goud, MLAs Prabhakar Reddy, Sekhar Reddy, Parliamentary Secretary G Kishore, Zilla Parishad Chairman Balu Naik and others called on Chandrashekar Rao at Secretariat and appealed to him for sanctioning drinking water facility.

On getting nod for the pending project, the delegation thanked the Chief Minister. The MP alleged that the previous governments had failed to address the drinking water problem in the district. The Chief Minister was resolving the issues on priority basis, he added.
