MUZAFFARNAGAR: Uttar Pradesh’s deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Saturday said that nothing but a grand Ram temple will be built in Ayodhya, and the BJP government was clearing out all the bars in its production. “From October 29, there is a daily hearing of the case in the Supreme Court. Let me clear one thing, only Ram temple will be constructed in Ayodhya. Soon, all the hurdles will be cleared and a massive temple will be built at the same spot. There will be no other building or memorial by the name of Babur at that place,” Maurya said.

Maurya was inscribing a gathering during his visit to Muzaffarnagar, a communally charged district which had noticed widespread riots in 2013.The BJP leader also made that his party will not allow naming of any building or memorial after Mughal ruler Babur in the future.

The UP minister also laid foundation of several upcoming projects, including roads worth Rs 600 crores in the area. Setting the tone for 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Maurya did not mince words while attacking Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and labelled him as “lying machine” “Rahul Gandhi is a lie manufacturing machine,” he said. Maurya praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said: “Modiji is most powerful man in the world. Once he comes back to power in 2019, all others (opposition leaders) will slip into coma.” “Opposition is suffering from Modi phobia. They feel if Modi becomes Prime Minister again they will be in ICU,” he said.
