Kandukur (Prakasam): President of Visalandhra Mahasabha Dr Parakala Prabhakar has called upon people to pressurise peoples representatives, both at the Centre and the State level to submit their resignations and create a constitutional crisis to stall the bifurcation process of the State. He was addressing a huge ‘Samaikya Garjana’ meeting at the local ZP high school grounds on Thursday. Local JAC leader Chandra Sekhar presided over the meeting.
The decision to divide the State was a conspiracy hatched by fake Gandhi- Rahul Gandhi and Italian queen Sonia Gandhi, he said and asked people to foil their attempts. Creating a constitutional crisis by making MPs, MLAs and Union ministers from the region to quit is the only option left for people to stall the division. The movement should be directed towards this end now, he said.
Observing that Hyderabad belonged to all, he said there was 70 per cent effort of Seemandhra people in the development of Hyderabad. People braved heavy rain to hear Dr Prabhakar’s speech.
While students displayed a huge National Flag, Prabhakar came on to the dais with Samaikya jyothi. Municipal Commissioner Phalguna Kumar hoisted National Flag. Earlier, the meeting observed two minutes silence for those who sacrificed their lives in both the regions. JAC leaders Prof Srikanth Reddy, Dr Adila Bhanu, M Chandra Sekhar, Hari Koteswara Rao, Ch Ramakrishna, students among others participated.
