Sachin party: Stars shine down, Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar threw a private party for his colleagues from the sports fraternity, Bollywood legends and dear ones on Monday night.

Sachin's retirement might have made the entire nation cry. However, the master blaster seemed to have moved on and come to terms with the reality. No more crying, it is time to party. Yes, it is time to rock and roll says Sachin.
Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar threw a private party for his colleagues from the sports fraternity, Bollywood legends and dear ones on Monday night.
The Who's who of Bollywood, business tycoons, politicians and members of the Indian cricket team were seen at this private party thrown by Sachin Tendulkar at a hotel in Andheri East. Sachin Tendulkar said goodbye to his cricket career on Saturday. Among the prominent Bollywood celebrities were Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Rahul Bose, Lata Mangeshkar and Karan Johar. Tendulkar's guru and coach Ramakant Achrekar were among the select gathering. Though invitations were sent to many other Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Brian Lara, too, none turned up at the private party, it is learnt.
The smiling couple Sachin and Anjali personally welcomed the guests. The security was obviously tight. Among the political bigwigs who showed up at the party were Union Minister Sharad Pawar, Raj Thackeray and Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.
From the cricket fraternity, Former opener Krishnamachari Srikkanth,Ravi shasthri, Azharuddin , Virat Kohli VVS Laxman, Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh, Virendra Sehwag Sachin’s mentor Sunil Gavaskar and the chairman of the selection committee Sandeep Patil were seen first in the party.
Amongst the Ambanis Nita Ambani, the owner of Mumbai Indians attended this party and Subrata Roy of Sahara too was part of the gathering
On the occasion, Sachin recollected memories of his 24 long and happening cricket journey and times of ups and downs. "After 24 years, give me at least 24 days to rest before I decide on my next moves," he had told the media.
Party highlights:
· Aamir khan who took the stage with a mike called Sachin on the dais to sang “Papa kehte hai bada naam Karega” and dedicated the song to him.
· Though Lata Mangeshkar was called on the stage she politely declined to sing and asked Amitabh Bachchan to talk a few words about Sachin.
· Yuvi read out a poem on Sachin which made it very special moment.
· Later Anjali and Sachin shared their experiences and were heavy hearted
The party was a private affair but with the nation's top people from all walks in life in attendance.How could media have missed? They too were there to preserve the memories for Sachin.
