This is something he followed almost as a matter of habit and never compromised on it all through his high-profile career.Thus spoke Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the city to unveil the special edition of Maruti Suzuki’s Alto and also to promote MS Dhoni – The Untold Story, the soundtrack of which was released by SS Rajamouli.
It has been nine years (September 24, 2007) since India won the first ever T20 World Cup under Dhoni. The charm lingers on.

It was made more remarkable because we scored a handsome win over Pakistan. It was a turning point as far as our careers were concerned. From then on, we have been through several ups and downs.

The better aspect was that more often than not we were on the winning side.”Reflecting on his initiation into sports, the current ODI captain explains that his childhood fancy, including while at Kharagpur, was football. Cricket came much later.Having once got hooked onto to the gentleman’s game, all that mattered was representing the nation and prove my mettle. That I could for over 16 years is very gratifying,” said the smartly attired cricketer, looking fully relaxed.
