Hyderabad: Launching a scathing attack against the incumbent body of Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), former Secretary K John Manoj on Saturday said that he would petition Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao against G Vivekananda as his holding on to the HCA President post was tantamount to conflict of interest given that he is an advisor to the State Government.

In a virulent attack against Vivekananda and T Shesh Narayan, Secretary of the Association, Supreme Court lawyer EV Venugopal ridiculed the suspension of John Manoj and then President Arshad Ayub by a panel that usurped power and did not enjoy any legal sanctity.

Speaking to reporters, the two, along with Ayub, said the present body was not only bypassing Lodha recommendations but also making a mockery of the law of the land. Elections that were conducted were a fraud on the State and the overall administration as they had shunned the Ryle Book. They wondered way no notices were issued to them before the ‘suspensions’.

They said that even in the absence of quorum at the AGM and legality going for a toss, the body bulldozed its way to suspend them as they were bent of maligning their respective images when they were at the helm. They pointed out that Shesh Narayan was facing criminal charges that were filed by Fateh Maidan Club.Urging Vivekananda and Shesh Narayan to come clean, they dared them for an open debate on administrative transparency and financial accountability.
