SFR Snehit of Telangana State was at his awesome best and came up a supreme performance that saw him stun top seed A Sharath Kamal 1210, 911, 113, 119, 511, 1214, 118 in the men singles of the 11Even Sports National Ranking North Zone Table Tennis Championships at the Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium here on Sunday
Panchkula: SFR Snehit of Telangana State was at his awesome best and came up a supreme performance that saw him stun top seed A. Sharath Kamal 12-10, 9-11, 11-3, 11-9, 5-11, 12-14, 11-8 in the men singles of the 11Even Sports National Ranking (North Zone) Table Tennis Championships at the Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium here on Sunday.
Sharath gave full credit to Snehit for the way he played some great points and kept the ace paddler on tenterhooks all the time. Leading 3-1, he made few mistakes that allowed Sharath stage a comeback but in the decider Snehit was nicely placed at changeover.
From there the match was going only one way as the Telangana boy maintaining a lead of at least a couple of points stopped Sharath well short to enter the pre-quarterfinals. Earlier, Snehit beat Vivek Bhargava of Rajasthan rather easily to move into the round of 32.
