It took nearly 3 hours for the officials to remove the boy from 20 ft bore well A Ranasthalam (Srikakulam): After a 3-hour struggle an eight-year old who got slipped into a bore well in Tolapalem village of Ranasthalam mandal in Srikakulam district, was successfully rescued with the active help of villagers and the government staff on Saturday. eight-year old Venkata Naidu along with his mother was picking cashew nuts in the cashew orchids in the village when he accidentally slipped into the disused bore well in the orchid. Before he realized what happened he reached a depth of 20-feet in the bore well. Immediately, the boy's mother raised alarm and the villagers rushed to the spot. Some good Samaritan has even called 108 ambulance service which reached the spot immediately and supplied oxygen to the boy in the bore well. The personnel of Fire, medical and health department and other government departments also rushed to the spot to undertake rescue operations. The 108 staff had lowered a long rope into the bore well and asked the boy to catch hold of it. The boy was slowly pulled out of the bore well much to the delight of his mother and the villagers. The boy was shifted to RIMS hospital at Srikakulam after extending first aid.
