Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K Taraka Rama Rao said his government would adopt best practices from Gujarat to implement the ambitious water grid project envisaged for the supply of round-the-clock drinking water to all in the State.

An official delegation, led by KTR, was visiting Gujarat to study the water grid and e–Panchayat Raj systems. On the first day of the two-day visit, the Minister met the Gujarat Water Board officials and Pani Samithi members and enquired about the successful run of the water grids.

He also visited Amarpur village in Gandhi Nagar district to study the e-Panchayat system. In a meeting with the officials, KTR acquainted himself with the IT applications used for the delivery of citizen services in a transparent way. The Minister said his government was planning to provide the best services to the citizens of Telangana through e–Panchayats. Before winding up the visit, KTR would also study the trunk line piping system established to shift water from Narmada dam.
