TS to have three new police Commissionerates

After according Police Commissionerate status to Warangal, Telangana government is mulling to do the same for Khammam and Ramagundam cities. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced this decision, while speaking on ‘law and order’ subject at Nalgonda district.

He called upon politicians to give a free hand to police department and not to interfere even in transfers of police officials.
Rao praised policemen from Nalgonda and Hyderabad districts who took part voluntarily in Mission Kakatiya and Swach Bharat initiatives.
Speaking earlier, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy announced that that number of women working in police department would be drastically enhanced since government has resolved to implement 33 percent reservation in police department.
