The Chief Minister felt that residential schools which were being operated by SC/ST/BC/Minority and other departments were having their own way of functioning, different curriculum, menu, mess charges, budget among others. But, hereafter all schools should adopt uniform code of conduct.

Currently, there were 668 residential schools in the State functioning under different departments. All the 1,190 residential schools should follow social welfare residential system.
