Hyderabad: Adilabad continued to record the lowest minimum temperature for the third day in a row. It had a minimum temperature of five degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Sunday. The other low temperatures recorded in Telangana were: Medak 9, Ramagundam 10, Nizamabad 11 and Hyderabad 13. While Hakimpet and Khammam had minimum temperature of 14 degrees C each, Hanamkonda, Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar recorded 15, 16 and 18 degrees C respectively.

The Met office said on Sunday that cold wave conditions prevailed in parts of Adilabad and Medak districts of Telangana. The minimum temperatures were markedly below normal at a few places in the State and below normal at one or two places elsewhere. The temperatures fell appreciably at one or two places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and fell at one or two places in the rest of the coastal districts and rose at many places in Rayalaseema. They were markedly above normal at many places in Rayalaseema, appreciably above normal at one or two places in coastal Andhra and below normal at one or two places in rest of the coastal districts.

In Andhra Pradesh, the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nandigama.

The other recordings in Andhra Pradesh were: Bapatla 17, Kakinada 19, Kalingapatnam 15, Kavali 20, Machilipatnam 21, Narsapur 19, Nellore 22, Ongole 20, Tuni 18, Vijayawada 17, Visakhapatnam 19, Visakhapatnam Airport 19, Anantapur 21, Arogyavaram 17, Kurnool 18 and Tirupati 24. The Met forecast said dry weather would prevail in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on December 28 to 31.
