Nalgonda: The district administration and police department would jointly provide coaching to 1,000 educated youth in the district for appearing in the police recruitment test.

In this connection, district Collector P Satyanarayana Reddy and Superintendent of Police Vikram Jeet Duggal held a meeting with the officials on Tuesday and discussed the arrangements for the coaching programme which would begin from March 1. The duration of the coaching would be for one month.

Addressing the officials, the district Collector directed the officials to SC Corporation, DRDA, STEP and MADA departments to take up measures for coaching and accommodation and also provide food by spending Rs 70 lakh.

In addition to this, coaching classes should be conducted on general knowledge, current affairs and other subjects with experienced faculty, he told the officials.

Satyanarayana Reddy also told the officials to make arrangements for coaching 200 youth at Devarakonda. Accommodation would be provided to the remaining 800 candidates in the BC Study Circle, in the newly constructed SC hostel, district police training centre and Mahila Pranganam at Nalgonda.

Pointing out that the vacancies of police jobs were more in the district, he said that the highest number of applications were also received from the district.

Keeping it in mind, the officials should take special interest in the coaching programme, he added. He said that candidates for the free coaching would be selected by conducting a physical test and written test by the district police department.
