Bajireddi attacked the MLC and his follower at the meeting physically and verbally. 

Nizamabad: The inaugural function of a women’s committee building on Saturday resulted in a clash between two groups of TRS leaders. Nizamabad (Rural) MLA Bajireddi Goverdhan and local bodies MLC R Bhoopathi Reddy had heated arguments as the photo of the MLC was missing on the flexi. Bajireddi attacked the MLC and his follower at the meeting physically and verbally.

Bhoopathy Reddy suffered injuries on his nose and started bleeding. Later, the followers of Bhoopathi Reddy staged a protest against the attack on their leader in front of Nizamabad bus stand and raised slogans against MLA Bajireddy Goverdhan. Speaking to the media in the town, Dasari Ganesh, a supporter of Bhoopathi Reddy and a native of Talla Rampoor village said that Nizamabad (Rural) MLA Bajireddi and MLC Bhoopathi Reddy came to participate in the inaugural programme at Kalooru village of Nizamabad mandal in the district.

On the occasion, TRS activists and a Bhoopathi Reddy follower, Kumar raised the issue of the non-inclusion of his leader’s Bhoopathi Reddy photo on the flexi and told the mandal party president Santosh that it was an insult to their leader. Ganesh said that at that time, MLA Bajireddy intervened in the issue and manhandled Kumar.

At that time, MLC Bhoopathi Reddy tried to persuade the MLA, but Bajireddy also attacked their leader Bhoopathi Reddy and verbally abused him. As a result, Kumar was admitted into the Nizamabad government hospital and was undergoing treatment. He lodged a complaint against MLA Bajireddy Govardhan at Nizamabad (Rural) police station.

Bhoopathi Reddy alleged that Bajireddy behaved like a thug and a terrorist by physically attacking him and his supporters. He said that they complained against Bajireddy to the Nizamabad MP Kavitha and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He alleged that Rural MLA was infringing on their rights and expressed fears over his life.

He said that he was in the TRS from the time of its inception and serving it with commitment while Bajireddy came into party only recently to enjoy the fruits of power Bhoopathi Reddy criticised the Circle Inspector of Police and said that he was behaving like a follower of MLA Bajireddy and lodged a complaint with the District Superintendent of Police against the Circle Inspector.
