Warangal: Telangana TDP state working president A Revanth Reddy has called upon the party cadre to revolt against the misrule of the TRS government in the State. The workers should strengthen the party at grass roots level, move in the villages, mobilise public support to fight against the TRS and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Many were saying the TDP has gone into oblivion here but the public should be explained why they need TDP in Telangana, he said. Revanth Reddy has on Thursday addressed the district party extended executive body meeting here. Coming down heavily on the CM, he alleged that Chandrashekar Rao was unfit to continue in his post as he failed to honour the families of Telangana martyrs.

No jobs were offered to the family members even after 22 months passed since the party came to power. The party in a resolution in the assembly claimed 1200 persons have ended their lives for statehood cause but later the government issued a GO offering financial assistance to only families of 500 martyrs alone.

Further, the TRS chief has sold out corporator tickets to Andhra leaders to contest from posh areas like Banjara Hills. In addition, work tenders worth Rs 1.45 lakh crore were offered to Andhra contractors of the total works worth Rs 1.50 lakh crores taken up by the state government so far, he alleged.

Revanth Reddy accused the government of selling lakhs of litres of water to breweries producing beer and other alcoholic drinks while the residents in the villages were facing severe shortage for drinking water. He informed that in the next four days he would file a petition in High Court against the government challenging supply of water for breweries by it.

‘I have already spoken to the lawyers in this regard,’ he added. Hitting at MLA E Dayakar Rao, who left TDP and joined the TRS, he said ‘Dayakar Rao used to enjoy a stature when he was in TDP. Now there is none to care him. The CM does not trust him as he is aware of his disloyal nature’. The party leaders R Prakash Reddy, G Satyanarayana Rao, Seetakka and G Mohan Rao were present.
