TDP not to contest in Palair By-election
Telangana TDP who was expected to announce its candidate Naama Nageshwara Rao for the Paleru By-elections has decided not to contest in the bypolls.
Telangana TDP who was expected to announce its candidate Naama Nageshwara Rao for the Paleru By-elections has decided not to contest in the bypolls. Telangana TDP leaders Revanth Reddy, Sathupally MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, Nama Nageswara Rao and other leaders met party chief and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his camp office in Vijayawada on Saturday where they were given a free hand to decide regarding the elections.
However, now TDP has changed its decision and will not be contesting in the Palair Bypolls. The party will support Sucharitha Reddy, wife of late Congress MLA Ramreddy Venkat Reddy, who is the Congress candidate for the Palair bypolls. Meanwhile, TRS has announced R&B Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao for the byelection.
