Hyderabad: Telangana TDP on Wednesday unveiled a new plan to revive the party at the grassroots level by encouraging senior party leaders to camp in villages and interact with the party cadre and local leaders for at least 24 hours.

During their stay, the leaders would also meet local people and explain them about TRS government’s failures, anti-people policies and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s conspiracy to destabilise the opposition parties through Operation Akarsh.

Participating in the day-long State party unit workshop condulcted at NTR Trust Bhavan here, party working president A Revanth Reddy said that the camps would be organised in the selected Assembly constituencies every month.

Revanth Reddy said that party president L Ramana, general secretaries and secretaries would also take part in the programme. He added that the party would be strengthened in all villages aiming to come to power in 2019 elections with a slogan of “Ramanna Rajyam.”

The party leader said that district-wise people’s issues, exploitation of natural resources in the name of development, unemployment, farmers’ plights and corruption would be the important issues to be raised in party’s struggle in the coming days.

In a scathing attack, Ramana alleged that the funds worth Rs 2.15 lakh crore spent for welfare and development, as claimed by the Chief Minister were misused. He demanded the Chief Minister to make public all details regarding the expenditure incurred for the schemes in the last two budgets.

Two bed room house scheme, distribution of three acres of land to each landless dalit family and fee reimbursement schemes were yet to take off, he added.
