Seven Maoists surrender
Seven members of the Maoist Sabari dalam, all aged under 20 years, surrendered to the Yetapaka police on Thursday.
Bhadrachalam: Seven members of the Maoist Sabari dalam, all aged under 20 years, surrendered to the Yetapaka police on Thursday. Superintendent of Police Ravi Prakash told press persons here that some members had joined the dalam commanded by Nagesh a few days back.
Since they could not get adjusted to the prevailing conditions they had come out. The SP stated that the government would extend welfare schemes and Asara benefits to the surrendered Maoists. Those who surrendered were Kovvathi Mukesh, Sode Mukesh, Madakam Irma, Vanjam Deva, Vetti Baby, Vanjam Jogi, Madakam Lalitha.
They were from Lankapalli village in Chintur mandal. Chintur OSD Pakirappa, ASP Swetha, Chintur CI Durga Rao, SI Gajendra Kumar, Yetapaka SI Nagaraju were present at the press conference.
