The Telangana State Commission for Backward Classes would hold a four-day public hearing from Wednesday to seek opinions from various sections of society on the enhancement of reservations for socially and educationally backward classes among Muslims. 

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Commission for Backward Classes would hold a four-day public hearing from Wednesday to seek opinions from various sections of society on the enhancement of reservations for socially and educationally backward classes among Muslims.

The public hearing is being organised by the Commission in the backdrop of the government’s request to study the report submitted by the Chairman of the Commission of Inquiry headed by G Sudhir, which had recommended 9- 12 per cent reservations for the Muslim minorities.

The Commission has invited all interested persons to give their opinions, suggestions, objections and representations orally or in written form. The Commission would also accept opinions from people through email till December 19 evening. Those interested can mail to [email protected], Commission Chairman BS Ramulu and member J Gowri Shankar said here on Tuesday.
