Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will meet Union Home Minister and Election Commission (EC) on the delimitation of Assembly constituencies during his Delhi visit.

During his week-long visit to Delhi, the Chief Minister is scheduled to meet Union Home Minister, officials of the Election Commission and hold one-to-one meet with Prime Minister

The Chief Minister is leaving for national capital on Monday to attend the oath-taking ceremony of President-elect of Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday.

During his stay in Delhi, KCR, according to official sources, will meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and top officials of the Union Home Ministry and discuss the delimitation issue.

He will also hold discussions with the Election Commission authorities on the delimitation process. Sources said the Chief Minister intends to ensure that the delimitation process is completed by end of this year. The ruling TRS leaders are of the view that the delay in the delimitation may affect the victory margin of TRS.

The Chief Minister will also bring to the notice of the Union government the long pending issue of bifurcation of High Court. He is also scheduled to hold one to one meeting with Prime minister Narendra Modi to discuss pending issues incorporate in the AP State Reorganisation Act.

Sources said that KCR during his week-long stay in Delhi will also undergo eye surgery, the official sources said.
