Officials told to send proposals for medical equipment
Health Minister C Laxma Reddy on Saturday ordered the District Medical and Health Department officials to send proposals seeking requirement of medical and health equipment. When local legislator Jalagam Venkat Rao sought sanction of an Urban Health Post at Paloncha, the Health Minister asked him to send proposals to that extent.

Also, the Minister asked the district officials to prepare proposals to set up TB control centres at Manuguru and Bhadrachalam and send them to the office of the medical and health commissioner by Tuesday.
He said a room to store drugs in government hospitals will be built. Personnel to serve the tribals would be appointed in the government hospitals soon. He asked the authorities to send names of the personnel to be trained in treating snake bites.
Local MP Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao, Medical and Health Principal Secretary Rajeshwar Tiwari, health commissioner Vakati Karuna, District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu and others participated.
