Hyderabad: The Met department bulletin on Tuesday warned of thunderstorms associated with heavy rain is likely to occur at various places in all districts of the State on October 4. It said that the thunderstorm with heavy rain occurred at isolated places in all districts across the State on Tuesday, as the upper air trough now runs from coastal Karnataka across Odisha, south Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka.

According to the bulletin, as the Southwest monsoon turned active over the State during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday, heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places across the State, with Golkonda in Hyderabad district recorded the day’s highest rainfall of 13 cm. Palakurthi(Warangal), Gandeed (Ranga Reddy) and Venkatapur (Warangal) received 12 cm, 11 cm and 10 cm of rain respectively.
