Police giving importance to technology: DCP
The police department has given importance for acquiring knowledge of advanced technology, according to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police K Suresh Kumar here on Thursday
Khammam: The police department has given importance for acquiring knowledge of advanced technology, according to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police K Suresh Kumar here on Thursday.
He was chairing a meeting with the computer operators and Station House Writers of various police stations under Police Commissionerate at special crime branch conference hall here.
Speaking at the meeting, Suresh Kumar said knowledge was power and the prime responsibility of the police officials was to acquire knowledge to discharge their duties.
The police officials must keep five Ws (who, when, where, why and what) in their mind before carrying out investigation of any case. They can crack the cases very quickly with ease by receiving the suggestions from higher officials along with clearing their own doubts through the members of IT Core Team. The police personnel should keep abreast of latest developments in science and technology, he said.
Special Crime Branch Inspector Sampath Kumar, IT Core Team in-charge Assistant Sub-inspector Satyanarayana and Station House Writers and computer operators of various police stations were present at the meeting.
