Kukatpally: Pannala Kavya Reddy, Kukatpally 114 division corporator, challenged former MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao for a debate on development of constituency. She alleged that the former MLA was engaging in false propaganda against her. She further alleged that he had hampered her efforts to take several developmental activities. She said that she came to know from reliable sources that former MLA deliberately asked authorities not to cooperate with her in addressing various issues afflicting the division.
In this regard, she cited Vivekanagar 11kv electricity line which was sanctioned but could not be completed. Her complaints on bad roads in the division too were also ignored by authorities on former MLA’s instructions, she alleged. She questioned how he could amass such wealth after switching to TRS. She alleged that he did not even inform his supporters before changing the party. She condemned his statement that she won as corporator with his support. She said that people elected her because of developmental activities done by her husband. KTR himself has called her to contest in recognition of the developmental activities done by her husband, she clarified.
